Nice gift
We here at Soft and Cozy love autumn and wind chimes, so this looks to us like a great, and affordable gift for a soft and cozy home.
Here's the product description:
Autumn Leaves Capiz Chime
Like a leafy bower, but one that makes soft music: gentle clinks and rustles. Colorful translucent leaves shimmer and dance in the wind. Each chime is handcrafted on Bali from capiz shells (shaped, sanded, and dyed by hand) strung on invisible nylon cord suspended from brown steel branches. Enjoy indoors or outdoors. Arrives assembled. 21" wide, hangs 14". Made by Woodstock.
Price: $29.95

Recycled fashion contest!
Recycle Design Contest
Okay, the previous couple of posts have inspired me to hold a contest.
If you like "Project Runway," and always wanted to try your hand at designing from scratch using unusual materials, you'll like this contest.
Mission: Create an outfit using recycled materials. (Including, but not limited to, paper, plastic, party decorations, wrappers, phonebooks, etc.)
Entry fee: $5
Submit: Photos of the front and back of your completed design, along with a brief description of the recycled materials you used for this outfit. Also include your name, address, email address and phone number.
Submit to: Recycle-wear contest, 4430 Oakley Road, Stokes, North Carolina 27884.
Deadline: The contest will close for entries on Jan. 31, 2011. No submissions will be considered after that date.
Entrants will be judged on creativity, overall design, and use of recycled materials.
One winner will be selected to receive a $50 gift certificate, and will be featured on this blog. A press release will also be submitted to various news outlets and Web sites, so the winning work will be publicized. The winner's photo(s) and name will also be featured on a Recycle t-shirt.
