Relaxation by lamplight

UPDATE: I just received this product in the mail and I LOVE IT! The lamp makes the whole bedroom it's in feel cozy. It's sort of like the light of a fireplace. According to the box, the salt it's made out of is supposed to help with all kinds of things, including asthma. I don't know about that yet, but, I do know, I want to buy some more in the future if only for the relaxation effect alone.

Sounds romantic, doesn't it?

One of the best ways to stay comfortable and relaxed at home is to create a relaxing atmosphere. This product looks like it could do the trick. (Or make a unique gift.)

I just discovered this lamp on Amazon.com. I looked over the ratings and they were, overall, very positive.
The cost is a little over 20 dollars, which seems fair too.

Here's the product description:
Bring divine harmony to any room with this beautiful salt crystal lamp. Its therapeutic glow of orange hues infuses a natural calm bringing the mind and body to a gradual sense of tranquility and well being. Experience it for yourself, but wait this is not the only reason to have a salt crystal lamp. This lamp is scientifically proven to work like an air purifier and is often called-nature's air purifier. When the lamp is lit, it emits negative ions that fight against positively charged particles that cause us to feel stuffy and sluggish. (Allergens; smoke; dander; pollens and other air pollutants). It clears the air and naturally dilutes odors so that we can breathe easier. People with asthma often find it helpful in reducing their symptoms and many medical practitioners recommend using these lamps to help relieve depression and fatigue. Made of salt crystals, from deep within the himalayan mountains, home to the world's purest and most colorful salt. It is hand carved to preserve its natural beauty and attached to a neem base. It is almost maintenance free and is very easy to clean. Just wipe off the outside surface with a damp sponge and dry off with a paper towel. You can change the color of the bulb to give a different hue to the lighting area. You can keep the lamp lit for as long as you like and the longer you keep it on, the better the emission of negative ions. Place this lamp in your child's room and watch him fall asleep with gentle ease or put it next to your computer and feel your stress dissipate as the negative ions counteract the electromagnetic fields bouncing off the computer. You can put it in your TV room, or your office. It really doesn't matter which room you choose, it is totally up to you where you want to place this unique gift of nature.

I'd love to hear your comments about experiences with this product.

The best way to start...

...this blog is with one of the ultimate comfort foods. I actually plan to make this for dinner tonight. It's easy and very yummy.

CHICKEN DORITO CASSEROLE

Chicken
1 lg. bag Doritos
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can golden mushroom
1 1/2 c. chicken broth
1 sm. jalapeno pepper, sliced
1 sm. onion, chopped
2 c. boiled chicken to the bone (I use the canned white chicken breast--all you have to is open the can and drain the chicken and it cuts about ten minutes off of the cooking time.)

Mix all the ingredients together, pour in a casserole dish. Bake at 250 degrees for half an hour or 45 minutes.
